Biography
Mark’s path consists of over twenty years of experience in Iowa and across the country in the areas of counseling, non-profit work, and human service work. He spent most of his early professional life working with at-risk kids and families and was able to fulfill his dream of teaching and coaching here in Central Iowa.
Over the past several years, Mark has also served on boards and committees for the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, International Cooperating Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Dallas Center-Grimes School Board. He has twice been a selected presenter and panelist for the National Forum on Character that is held in Washington, D.C.
In addition to working with individuals and families, Mark has also facilitated workshops with educators, coaches, business professionals, community leaders, elected officials, and athletes on integrating character, ethics, and intervention skills into their personal and professional lives. In his free time, Mark enjoys time with his family, cheering on the Cyclones and providing character coaching and ministry to several athletics teams in the area.
